The Cast


Eden duncan-smithCJ Walker

Eden Duncan-Smith is a 16-year-old tour de force. In 2010 Emerging Artist Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., 2011 Young Artists Award for Best Performance in Live Theater Young Actress from the Hollywood Foreign Press & Rising Star Audelco Award for her roles in the Tony Award winning August Wilson’s Fences and Disney’s Lion King on Broadway.  Eden appeared in the hit remake of the kids’ classic Annie.  Last year, she is starred in the thriller Meadowland with actress, Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson. And this year, her next film STEPS (produced by Shaquille O'Neal) and is currently filming the Roxanne Shante bio-pic, Roxanne Roxanne with Nia Long and Chante Adams . She is happy to join the cast of See You Yesterday, as it speaks to her passion for systemic law-enforcement reform. Parish bradley, Calvin walker

Parish Bradley was born in Buffalo New York and received a bachelor degree from Howard University.  He studied acting at both the Stella Adler School of Acting and Bova Actors Workshop.  This Is Parish’s third NYU Tisch graduate Student film.  His Other NYU credits include “Blush” by Winter Taylor and “Back to Beirut” by Deliso Leslie.

Sydney francisgloria thomas

A graduate of Wesleyan University’s Theatre Department, Sydney Francis has experienced an array of professional experiences including a tour of several countries as lead dancer with the Odehe Folklorique Troupe from Ghana, West Africa.  

Having raised a family, Sydney has chosen to return to her first love and has appeared in numerous regional and national commercials , in Off Off Broadway plays, various independent films and is part of the cast of “Cobblestone Corridor”, which recently premiered on Connecticut Public Broadcasting.


Dante crichlowsebastian thomas

Dante Crichlow is a 17 year old Caribbean American actor from Brooklyn, NY.  He is a student at the Repertory High School for Theater Arts, who has performed as principals in the classic Oedipus the King and August Wilson’s Jitney. Through the Laramie Project, he participated in The Shubert Foundation High School Theater Artist Festival and was accepted into the prestigious Roundabout Theatre Company’s summer student production. His outstanding commitment to socially conscious and visually appealing art gained him admission into the inaugural class of the Nate Parker Institute in Wiley College. Crichlow shares a passion for all forms of theatrical & visual arts, including photography. His photography has been featured on many pop-cultured based websites and magazines. See You Yesterday is Crichlow’s cinematic debut.

Melvin mogoliDennis Stoudmire

My name is Melvin Mogoli and I love the craft I started acting at 11 years old at church on later on at 15 I auditioned for talent unlimited High School where I learned a lot about myself and acting my first role was in an NYU thesis film called Bedford Park Boulevard on that set I learned a lot about an ensemble coming together to make a work of art supporting each other building after that I got cast in films such as Gimme The Loot find King Jack which was done by an NYU student as well and now I move forward and continue this beautiful Journey. Manny Ureña is an actor born and raised in Corona, Queens. After a life changing experience at The William Esper Studio, he fell in love with the creative process. He's extremely happy to be part of such a powerful story in See You Yesterday. Some notable credits include Blue Bloods (CBS), Breaking Brooklyn (starring Louis Gossett Jr.) and Pimp (starring Keke Palmer).

Stefon Bristol, Director/co-writer

Stefon Bristol is an award-winning filmmaker in the pursuit of becoming a master of the art of storytelling.  His favorite films are Do the Right Thing, Back to the Future Part II, and Jurassic Park. . . . don't judge.

Ashley Alexander, Producer

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Ashley Alexander went on to graduate with a degree from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. Before pursuing a MBA/MFA dual masters in film producing at NYU, she worked in China as a film and TV producer for three years. She most recently produced Entertainment Experience China, a Dutch-Chinese cross-media project led by John Woo. She is interested in international films and films that explore survival.



Joshua a. foster, co-producer

Joshua A. Foster is a Spartanburg, SC native currently enrolled in the prestigious NYU Tisch MFA graduate film program studying to become a director/producer.  In addition, Josh has earned an International Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of South Carolina, and has over twenty years of experience in finance sector.  He is the director, writer, producer, and editor of five short films (including the award-winning Small Beginnings 2015) as well as an executive producer of Chris White's award-winning feature, Cinema Purgatorio (2014). 

Thati peele, Co-Producer

Thati Peele is a South African statistician turned filmmaker. She has produced over 15 short films which have travelled to various oscar qualifying film festivals. This collaboration serves as one of the highlights of the films she has produced not only for the talent helming the piece but for the poignant subject matter. 



Fredrica Bailey, co-writer

Fredrica Bailey is a 2016 MFA graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She hails from Washington, D.C. Her feature film "The Expat" was a 2015 Action Adventure semi-finalist in Final Draft's Big Break Contest. In 2016 she was awarded Tisch's Paulette Goddard Scholarship, as well as the Charles Purpura Award for Special Recognition in Screenwriting.

Laura is a filmmaker and production designer born and raised in NYC. Her design work has screened at Sundance, SXSW, Berlin and Telluride. As a director has screened at Anthology Film Archives and MOMA, where she received an AICP award for her commercial work. She is currently in development on her first feature, Gordon.

Noel Rayo Diz has gathered over ten years of experience as a film editor and colorist. Short films, documentaries, commercials, videoclips, etc... And always losing his eyebrows in front of the monitors. 


winter coleman, casting director

Winter Coleman is a filmmaker/photographer from Beverly Hills, California and a recent graduate of NYUs Tisch School of the Arts where she earned her MFA. Both her photography and her film work focus on our humanity and dealing with the small indignities that ultimately shape who we are.

AM Zick, Location sound

AM Zick was born in Cleveland OH and still can't believe the Cavs are NBA champions. He has been working as a freelance production sound mixer, sound designer and composer in New York since completing his BA in Music from Brown University and Vancouver Film School's Sound Design program. felipe vara de rey, director of photography

Born in Madrid, Spain, Felipe is currently developing his career in New York City, where he moved in 2011 after receiving a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to pursue NYU’s MFA in filmmaking. Over the last years, he has directed and shot many projects, including documentaries, narrative shorts, music videos, electoral campaign ads and commercials. The last feature documentary he worked on as a cinematographer, “Cooking up a tribute”, premiered at Berinale 2015. Felipe is a recipient of the Steven J. Ross Fellowship, and he has recently been nominated for the 2015 Volker Banhemann Award for excellence in cinematography.

Abu is a fashion designer who has worked with Kanye West and other celebrities and professionals. 


Brett darmetko, Music composer

Brett Darmetko is a Brooklyn based composer and music producer. Self-taught, he is influenced by electronic, hip hop, and world music. He has composed scores for films featured at South by Southwest and Cannes Film Festival. His second full-length album will be released in 2017.

Joe zakko, Set photographer

A photographer whose roots are in cinema; currently working on multiple large format photo series' and an experimental short anthology film, all while finding set photography gigs and finishing his undergrad at Tisch for film.
